My band mate had a Gibson 6/12 double neck SG but it was so dang heavy you used it on a few songs. Not a “jam all night” friendly axe.
I found a genuine new old stock, 60’s Kalamazoo TRC for my KB-1. A Gibson retired employee had 2 on Ebay.
Kind of finishes it off real nice!

I'm thinking of replacing the bridge on my '64 with a Hipshot, and swapping out the EMG's for Fralins (10% overwound). I've never been able to get proper action, and the active EMG's cut through, but are a bit thin sounding (It had Jacksons when I got it, and sounded terrible. Why would you bother?)

The Hipshot is probably a great idea. I put a Badass I on mine, but that's all that was available back then. I would suggest checking out Bartolini to replace the EMG. Smoother and rounder.
I miss this bass terribly.
There's a nice big cavity under those EMG's. One 9V for each.
Hipshot FTW and another vote for Bartolinis. Not that there's anything wrong with Fralins but Barts mix well with the Sidewinder in my experience.
Hi all. I was looking on the Epiphone site but I can't seem to find either the EB-0 or EB-3 listed. Have they stopped making them?
Reason I'm asking is because I think I want a EB-0. There are some used ones in mint condition listed on Reverb for $236 with free shipping from Sam Ash. Seems like a good deal. I'm thinking I should grab one. Especially if they have stopped manufacturing them for now. What do you guys think?

Don’t know where you live, but I snagged my EB-0 from a pawn shop for $90 or $100. Check around.
Used is fine. I paid 100€ for mine. They are often not played that much. People buy them because of the looks and expect them to sound like Fenders or whatever and get disappointed. Bridge attachment to body is a weak point, you might wanna check that out before purchase.
If you drop the nose on a 3point bridge too much it can cause the two bridge anchors to lift. This “fault” is user error.
