I don't understand this logic. Because someone doesn't have an outstanding order they aren't allowed to hold an opinion?
Looks great. I will reserve most of my excitement for when it's in stock at Best Bass Gear in 5 string format, however.Just felt like posting this.

Hey everyone... here's a big announcement.
Best Bass Gear are now carrying my pickups. They should be on their site soon.
This means for new orders you won't have to wait as they will be in stock. (as they get them in stock)
For existing orders I am still filling those, and hope to be though everyone's order soon. This news will both help the old backlogged orders as well as new ones.
So moving forward, once the back log of orders is cleared out, there's will be minimal waiting for pickups.

Their opinions are usually misinformed, plus they often decide to post in threads like this because they are on the internet and feel they have to be some kind of crusader with an axe to grind. They have nothing to gain but inflating their ego.
Anyone can post anything on the internet, and they have an audience, but it doesn't make them right. There are lots of assumptions being made.

You have been sitting on some peoples money for close to two years and you try and make me out to be a bad guy and talk about my ego? Your post was more ego driven than just about anything I have ever heard.
Great news, David.
Will they be carrying ND3-HB sets as regular stock?
Cheers!

You are making lots of assumptions, like when you accused me of being late with orders because I was making pickups for BBG. It's that behavior I'm taking about. Just because you think it in your head doesn't make you right. But you want to be right, right?
Plus you have no dog in this show. So what's your motivation?
guys, there is already a thread for complaining in:
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f38/a...e-pickups-order-part-2-a-1004778/index38.html
THIS thread (SGD Lutherie Pickups) has impressions from people with SGD products, soundclips, and tons of product info.
I totally understand that some of you are pretty upset, that doesn't mean that you should start crapping in every SGD thread, potentially burying the good stuff.
Seems like this needs to be said again.
I would like to see SGD get through this tough time. Looks like the arrangement with BBG is a move in the right direction and will allow this small (one man?) operation concentrate on what they (he/she?) is good at - making pickups. In the long run that is a good thing, right?
I am not trying to defend SGD, but you guys have made your point - over and over and over again. In more than one thread. Honestly it seems as though you guys are going out of your way to find SGD. What more can be accomplished by continuing with the constant barrage?
I can certainly empathize with the customers but I can also empathize with SGD. A lot of us have found ourselves in a hole and had to dig ourselves out - let SGD. For a small operation it does not take much to knock things off track. Seems like that is what happened here. Let SGD learn from it, get back on track, and make some pickups!
and being in a hole is one thing. taking this as an excuse to lie to people one owes goods is entirely different thing.
I can't speak to the lying. From the outside looking in on any situation - there are always two (or more) sides to any story. From that perspective I hesitate to call anyone a lier.
Ok.. Ill do it for you.
He has lied MANY times to many folks. What does that make him?
looking from the inside of the situation - there really is a limit to how many times one can stand "your pickups will be shipping next week" empty promises.I can't speak to the lying. From the outside looking in on any situation - there are always two (or more) sides to any story. From that perspective I hesitate to call anyone a lier.
This here is what we call a merry-go-round. David has had business and personal issues, as well as simple Murphy's Law stuff that has happened, making pickup deliveries slow in some cases. We can discuss it back and forth ad infinitum and beat this already dead horse, or we can rejoice in the fact that distribution will now be handled by BBG - a company that specializes in distribution. Hopefully, with distribution covered, David can get his backorders filled and this conversation can turn to just how great these pickups sound. Here's hoping.
If you want to disuade people from buying the pickups, then say your piece and be done. Otherwise it smacks of a vendetta and we don't have either the time or bandwidth for vendetta.
