Share your anger management techniques

Sounds like you need a vacation.
What's changed that you have so much anger.
Anger comes from some where.
The people on the job haven't changed so you must have changed.
What's really bothering you.
Are you getting angry at people when you're off of work?

It may be long-term stress.
Exercise, meditation and making sure you're getting a good night's sleep might help.

nope, it's not me. the conditions on the job and market have changed so that it has a direct impact on what's being asked of me, which is not in alignment with my job description and my pay grade. In addition, I have more 2 additional people behaving like my managers and when I complain about it to my manager he says I'm just gonna have to deal with it.

an escape plan is in the works.

Don't punch or kick things or people. I think people who punch walls and windows are like big four year olds throwing tantrums. You can't control your environment or the people around you, so at least control yourself. Sometimes you just need to put things in perspective. If someone says or does something to make you mad, just take a step back and think "is it really worth it for me to blow my top over this?" Chances are it's not.

what if they are doing the same to you, and there's a waiver? or if it's a sport?

:)

If you work in a multi floor building take some time and go visiting other people and start networking so that you can get transferred to another department. If not feaseable go look for some babes, they always cheer me up:cool:

For reasons not relevant to this thread, work people have been getting on my nerves big time lately. I'm about ready to snap and go explatives on them or worse. This will surely hurt my position here, so I am in urgent need of possible ways to deal with this. I try to mantra "go with the flow, dude" and "this ain't your company, just do what you're told" but it is not helping too much. The building and family helps when I'm out of the office, but while I'm here ...urrrrgh.

Desperately seeking help.

Now both you and I know That the past ten years have been rather intense.
I'm ashamed to admit that I've been fooled by the seductions of violence.
People walking around with ugly auras.
At times I'm even tempted to seek the advice of doctor Laura, But I ignore her.

So I take a deep breath and count to ten,
aint gonna let it get under my skin.
Take a deep breath and count to ten, Think of all the nice places that I've been.

Like back when I was waging peace against the Visigoths,
I was tutled in the ancient mysteries by a wisened philosoph,
Learned the Polyrythm of celestial time.
And wait for the one to come and get it done, and finish the rhyme.

Stress and anger management are a large part of why I play bass in a band. I suppress everything all week long, and then beat the living snot out of my bass on the weekend.

It seems to work pretty well, at least I haven't killed nobody....... not lately....

Take 5 or 10 minutes to meditate. Create a "crisis box" If you don't know what a crisis box is, its just a box with little notes that you write to yourself to put you in a more positive/calm mood. So when youre feeling stressed by coworkers pull out a note from the box and do what it says on it.
