I also got used to using zero pressure.
My safety is solid stainless, so quite heavy. I just hold it at the correct angle and let it's weight do the work.

Rockwell 6s. It's like a standard double edge, but has 3 different plates, for 6 different amounts if blade exposure. I like the 5 setting, for a pretty aggressive cut.Yeah, mine too, heavy but balanced.
What all stainless razor do you use?

I looked at them from your link, they look very well engineered. The adjustable one they are crowdfunding looks cool.
It is possible, but not guaranteed. There are many boxes of blades at my airport confiscated goods shop. You could try, but since the blades are removable, they tend to take a dim view of having them onboard. Can you FLY with DE Razors & DE Safety Blades in your CARRY ON luggage?
I've only ever taken disposable plastic razors in check in when I travel, much lighter & never an issue getting thru.
After a week shaving with a DE I'm really happy. Close confortable shaves, though I do notice the stubble is more bristly, I guess because the cut is cleaner on each hair.
I'm still learning how to best shave under my chin, it's still a bit tricky until I get a better feel for the grain in a few spots. Definitely a learning curve involved!
Once hot weather arrives, you might want to try something like Proraso green from Italy. It has a nice cooling sensation due to menthol/eucalyptus.
Another one of my favorite creams is Musgo Real from Portugal. It's kind of hard to describe, but to me there's bit of late summer mown field scent to it. And lots of lanolin, so it's slick.
As for traveling with razors, can you mail a few blades ahead to where you'll be staying?
Can you take just the razor (no blade) and buy blades when you get there? Ditching the unused blades for the return trip obviously. Might pay to check with that specific airline.I'm actually not at all looking forward to having to leave the safety razor at home when I next fly without a check-in bag, as I highly doubt I can take razor blades on to a flight...

The real solution is to grow a hipster beard.
