I wanna play!

Oof.. I'm sure I've heard of similar happening with other G&Ls recently. Must be agonising, hopefully they get the new neck to you ASAP.

That's a gorgeous instrument, though! Love the finish.

They produced the instrument quicker than I was expecting in 2020, so I think even once they've learnt how to read a piece of paper, I'll still be getting it in what will feel like a decent time. Also, no harm avoiding international shipping over the holiday season.... :D

Very true - I sent a bass via parcelforce last week, and they left it outside the guy's house. Luckily it was still there 5 hours later when he got home from work...

Glad the turn around time is decent, though. The only reason I've never ordered a custom is my impatience :D

My vote would be the JMJ. I'd love to see that bass in shell pink. Would you plan on doing a relic job or no?

The factory relic is the reason I decided to refinish, I baby my instruments, so having something beat up just doesn't register. The neck on it is actually fine, but the body is overboard.

It's a tough decision, there aren't too many enough pink Ric's out there....

The black JMJ is the first relic instrument I’ve owned. I think it’s tastefully done for a mass marketed instrument, but I mainly bought it because I liked the other special features. If you decide to proceed with the refin, I can’t wait to see the results.
