Really? After all that careful shopping and your "Hungarian experience"?

Oh my...don't get me wrong. My bass is stunningly good. Much better than I am, as we have discussed.

I am talking about the second bass; you know, the five string with the low B, or the ply you don't worry about so much, or the...?

I am deeply into true Hungarian love. But, sometimes, it would be nice, when playing in tight quarters, for example, to have something a bit less precious on which to thump and scratch.

Someday...Shen love. :)

Oh, I figured as much-- that's why I was puzzled that you thought the cool kids were on the other side of the fence. :) Sometimes it's hard to get to second bass. :D

I also wish I had something less precious for the occasional outdoor gig where you'd worry about the climate. I guess that's what renting is about.
