Shoes for onstage?

I usually wear my paratrooper jump boots (like combat boots but much more comfy insole and a zipper running up the side).

Had a pair of those years ago and loved them. Unfortunatly my feet spread in old age and they no longer fit and so they got trashed.
I've been looking at Army Surplus stores for another pair for 10-15 years but havn't had any luck. I very rarely see them. Any that I've spotted have been either way overpriced, worn out, or the wrong size.

I'm gonna catch hell for this but I always wear.....

Anyone else go barefoot sometimes? No? Just me? Okay :(

Ive played barefoot alot. Never in a bar due possible glass, and I stopped when I started using pedals because the footswitches can hurt when you stomp em, or they went between my toes, but now ive been playing more often bass>amp>cab and ive been considering it again.

Mellow: why such a bad idea?
