I simply showed the results of a google image search, apparently a link to the alibaba shop.
here in germany a would look at either thomann or www.rockinger.com. Knobs similar to those are made at least for 6 mm axes, both knurled and press-on and with screw. I would be surprised of there were none in 1/4"

Got ibanez mikro and a dean evo wanted to ask you guys your opinion on modding the dean. Plays great, feels great. Looks grate sounds bad. Its muddy. Not in the farting in a trash can good way. But in that blanket over the amp bad way. So i am either going to a) fill the pickup cavitys in and rout it For 2 gfs lipstick pickups in the neck like a gibby eb or b) make some wooden pickup covers with jazz pickup guts inside. What you guys think. It will be a wile till i can get the scratch together (been off work for weeks with a bad back) so i have plenty of time to chaing my mind and chaing iy back again. But i am open to all ideas

it's the single-pickup junior jet model and i got lucky with it as it has a very unusual veneered top comprised of 2 sides of the same piece of wood with symmetrical markings leading into the middle. other ones have more of an alder effect (or don't match at all) but mine lookes quilted and it sounds like a boss.

best 200 i ever spent, especially with a gotoh 201 bridge that i added later. i'm waiting for him to buy his own but it's taking too long!

Any chance of seeing a photo of your Gretsch?? I have an unusual one too--it's the two pickup model in cherry red transparent finish. There's no serial number on the back of the headstock, just a little silver MIK sticker.

Anyway, I put Gotoh tuners on mine too, which was a nice change from the stock no name pieces. Try the Babicz bridge for yours when you get it back. It's a perfect fit.

If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that.... Don't know why they made a new Skyline SS HB instead of a SS Decade that so many players say they'd buy immediately if available. I don't know the weight. Don't have a scale. It's not light. It's a big thick slab of mahogany. But it hangs fine and I've never noticed the weight while playing it. I think it just looks like it'd be lighter than it is.

My wife wanted to learn bass and she wanted something smaller than the p and jazz basses I have. So got her a Squier Bronco and she really bonded with it. I changed the picked to a humbucker rail-type pickup and CTS pots and the bass sounds massive compared to what it sounded like previously. It's now been about 1.5 years and she's now playing on a worship team at church so got her an SX SS jazz bass and immediately upgraded the pickups to DiMarzio Model J's with CTS pots and rounds and the bass sounds great. Aggressive when it needs to be and nice full sound. I wasn't a fan of SS basses previously but these have totally changed my mind.

Yeah, I asked Lakland about it and they said they have no plans for a Skyline version (though they of course have a full-scale Skyline Decade). My only thought to their response was "You're insane."

Well, it's been less than two weeks since I've had surgery, so I'm hoping to regain more strength in my left hand and that the nerve pain settles down. But I know who to talk to if my luck runs out. ;)
