used the newish gibson flying v at the house by myself, hopefully i'll get to use it at practice soon
The Mustang plays great! I'm currently playing around with flats, trying to decide which set I'm going to stay with. I have been given a "sample" of a new set of medium-scale flats from GHS to try, and I've also got a new set of La Bella Deep Talkin' Flats 760F-MUS that I ordered from BSO. Once I've decided between the two, I'm then going to give the stock pickup a nice long audition to try to find that certain "tone-in-my-head" I was looking for in a short-scale Mustang.
I've also acquired a FideliTron bass pickup (from a Cabronita) which I will also probably end up trying on this bass. The pickup dimensions are slightly smaller than the stock MW humbucker, but it will easily fit within the pickup cavity. The only thing I would have to do is have a pickguard custom made for it to make up for the slight variation.
So, this bass will be a "work in progress" for foreseeable future!

If it is, it does have speed knobs on it, which look great to me, and work great.
But maybe you mean someone else or something else.

Well it came with witch hats, which I don't like, and it's ahd other knobs on it before those ones--but I prefer the look of the speed knobs.I'm talking about the looks of it, not of the work. And i suggested that knobs similiar to those would look even better:
