Anyone played a short scale? Many prices to choose from. Cant answer why I want one. Something Different? How would the ones on E-bay be like Ibanez and the others that are listed?

Ibanez are excellent value for their price. I've owned one for 18-19 years. If possible it's always best to try playing one before buying.

I've got the short scale jones myself. If you want to try a cheap experiment you can pick up a Squier Jaguar 30 inch scale. They retail for 170 ish and can be had for 150 (or cheaper) if you shop around.

I received the bass about a week ago. I threw some short scale chromes on it and gave it a quick setup. Plays great, sounds good and is dirt cheap. Really couldn't ask for more at this price.

I've heard QC can vary on these basses, so if you can cherry pick one at a local store that would be best. If not pick an online retailer with a good return policy, just in case.

I recently got a short scale (Hofner Galaxie), I love it. I'm a smaller person, my hands aren't small but i fell funny having a full size bass. So i finally got a short scale and it fits perfect. I like the fender mustang basses too, they are really pretty, although a higher price than ibanez.

I have a 32" Cliff Bordwell. Great bass, EASY to play. The 32" seems a little punchier than the 34", IMO.

The Ibanez Mikros are fine... very small though, even by short scale standards.
I own both a Squier VM Jaguar SS and a Gretsch Junior Jet G2202. They are both fabulous short scale basses and which one I like the most often depends on the day and which one I happen to pick up first.
If you're looking for a short scale to try on a budget, you honestly cannot go wrong with the Squier SS Jag. At $150-170 new they are an amazing bargain and a bass you won't outgrow. Throw some chromes on it and you'll never want to put it down.

Fender Mustang RI, sounds like a P bass with rabies and is WAY comfortable to play. Plus I feel like a giant when I play it.

I can only speak for the two short scales I've played:
You won't find anything easyer or cheaper to play than Ibanez Mikro, sound wise you might find that you eventually want to swop the pickups out for something better.
Jerry Jones Longhorn is just fenomenal, they do have a special sound though, but I think it's great.

If you fall in love for any thing don't matter what is that. I sure you can't explain about that because you just think that is you destination so therefore I can't explain any word about the hofner short scale I love it a lot.

If you just want to get into short scales, the Squier Jaguar SS is really hard to beat at its price point.

I always thought I wouldn't like a short scale, but the opportunity to buy my friend's late-60's Dano came up and I figured I'd give it a whirl.

Let me just tell you... that thing is really, really, really fun to play.
