I wish I had Dallas CL. All I have is mid 90's MIM Fenders and Squiers by the truckload and maybe the odd Parker Fly guitar. I think I once spotted something that looked like a hot tub, but alas, 'twas an Epiphone T-Bird.

He'll never get that $500 for the Dillion. Trust me, I was lucky to get $200 for mine. Nice bass, but it's a copy and as far as most are concerned, that's all it is no matter how nice it may be.
Apparently, they key to happiness is "indifference". So, just blissfully look the other way, and ignore the crime at hand. Seems to be the way of the world these days.

Don't be too sure. I've got a cheap raw project body that needs to have the pup routes deepened and the neck pocket opened up, all clearly stated in the add, but i've had people inquire with questions that make it obvious they have not read the ad.
As for the 2CL ads in question here? If i had a dime for every CL add i'd seen for a Fender that is in fact a Squier, i'd prolly be able to get a nice dinner for Wifey and I. Strictly one guys opinion, but IME following up on adds that appear misleading what i've usually found is a seller who is not a player, or is a rank beginner, neither of which have any working knowledge of the instruments they are trying to sell. There is the occasional con artist, but they are easy enough to spot. Some of the clueless sellers can be reasoned with and some get insulted because you tried to lowball them on their (cousins, brothers, etc) rare old bass. The scammers usually fade once you bust them, but if they are bold enough to place an add selling Jaco's old bass and it's not even a close imitation, they possess the brass to try powering through any question of the validity of their claims.
As for these two adds, i put them up there as a flipper overselling their product in hopes of hooking a catfish. If they are an honest huckster they won't care if you make them what most inexperienced sellers would consider a lowball offer, because as any huckster knows, you can always go down in price, but you can never go up so shoot for the moon and stars but we willing to settle for one or the other.
Ebay would pull an ad (at one time) for a misleading title. A misleading title, that is intentionally misleading, should be considered a crime. Perhaps a misdemeanor, a minor infraction, but still a crime.
Outrage is a strong word, but it does get old being drawn in by baiting sellers. That's all the internet is now, clickbait. You came here for this, but you are getting that, instead. You'd be mad as hell if you drove by a music store with a sign that said "All Fender & Rickenbacker Basses Now 75% Off!!!!", rushed inside, and found nothing but these crappy copies hanging everywhere. Same principle, IMO.
So just sit idly by and let innocents get ripped off? I think not. Repeat after me: Unethical people should be reported (if possible/appropriate). This would seem to break CL rules, no? Certainly could be reported if it were on eBay. Always 2 sides....
You can't save the world.....if one has a Superman ideology, there are much more needy "innocents" that could use some saving.
Agreed, one has to choose one's battles, but this isn't a battle, it's a simple click on a link and 10 seconds typing. Just report it and let CL take care of it. People who refuse to take action when others do wrong (when action can be taken safely) just tick me off. Just do nothing and let the world burn.
Some of us have a slightly different perspective on what makes the "world burn". Using a phrase like that over a CL ad has a bit too much drama for me.
