Should I get a new amp before...

Joe Martin said:
You're both wrong. But thanker was closer :p

If it were Geddy Lee Growl x Ashdown Growl it would = Growl^2.

But since it's Geddy Lee Growl + Ashdown Growl it would = 2(growl) or growl x 2 or whatever floats your mathematical boat.

Sorry about going off topic, but yes ,defiantely get a new amp first.

I know, the "x" in my equation is redundent... Just put it there for the "Laymen"!!!

:p

Yeah I had the 250 watt version and was very pleased with it. Mine was built in the uk and I paid about £500 for it which was the going price at the time, and I still reckoned it was good value.

They're so much cheaper now cos they're made in China. 300 quid for a decent 300watt combo is almost too good to be true.

Many people told me:
-Buy first a good bass, to feel what is a good bass...
Then you have that (and you have it with a geddy!) buy a good amp, so that, you'll feel and hear what is a good mix of bass and amp...

If think now you achieved the first step, you really need to achieve the second one, believe me, you won't regret!

No no no.

Lets say growl^2 is equal to 10^2.

lets say geddy lee is = 50

ashdown = 50

GLJB+Ashdown= gr^2

OR 50+50=10^2
100=100

I am correct. we arent solving for anything... we just need to balance the equation.

But if

GLJB = growl = 50
Ashdown = growl = 50

then growl^2 = 50^2

GLJB + Ashdown = 50 + 50 = 100

GLJB * Ashdown = 50*50 = growl*growl = growl^2 = 50^2

i think you're just completely incorrect dude.

Err, you need a new amp ASAP.
