Should I upgrade from Avatar?

Very true. Im more of a low guy, so going with an overall 610 is probably my best option. And the bedroom/live analogy is perfect.

Which is a good thing. You're not rushing into anything.

I used strictly 15's for years when I first started out. I had 2 - 215 cabs that I used (talk about the weight!), and boy could you feel the bass in the next county. 12's to me are the best of a 15 but with the top end response of a 10. Best of both worlds.

Hey, I'll bring my Avatar B212 to the Columbus GTG and you can hook up your 210 on top of it. That way you can hear a really close example of what your full Avatar rig would sound like. I wouldn't make any decisions until then unless you get an awesome deal that you can't pass up.

I would stick with matching cabs. Do the Avatar B410 or B212. I only have experience with the B212 but it pleases me. And the Avatars should play well together. The Carvin mixing may be a bit of a gamble. I haven't had any real problems with mixed cab configurations though.

After an appropriate break in time either choice will become a mac daddy of a cab. I can't believe how nice my B212 sounds with my B1500. But I have moved on to a BR810 and am having a blast breaking that behemoth in.

2 avatar 212NEOs would be rad. I would do that if I wasn't playing my 212NEO with an SWR Big Ben(which I love 'cuz it sounds great and w/ my Peavey Classic 400 evokes a feeling of over the top excess). If my Big Ben were to die I'd just rock 2 212NEOS w/ the horns shut off. I think Avatars are great for anybody that is content with a 4 string and rootsy bass tone
