Thats a unique Maple top, shes a beauty!

Just got this Essence today. It has a beautiful birds-eye (over subtle quilt) maple top, purpleheart accent with maple pinstripe. Just the simple vol, pan, & filter but that's what I wanted since I do most of my tone changes with the pan on my basses. The rest is done with my amp. Only had a chance to briefly play it at lunch and the filter definitely has a broad range of sounds. Don't even have my own pics yet but here's some from the net. And yes I'm digging up any thread I can post them in! :D

Tom: Me too. Luckily it waited around long enough for me to get it.

I seriously considered trying to get that bass a few times, great look and I know for a fact that those Essence electronics kick ass, I love the simplicity of that Lo Pass filter. I know she sounds as great as she looks!
play her in good health.

OK one more I dont currently own this anymore it was a monster (Too Big)... so I wound up trading for another Alembic.
Custom Elan 6

I used to own on almost identical apart from it having a cocobolo top. I sold it last year.

It was the heaviest bass I've ever played and had a really dark sound. Great for metal or hard rock as the sound was thunderous. But I'm not a metal or hard rock player :)

This is the one I now own, bought c/- Spirit of the West bass player Hugh in Canada. A graphite necked 79 Series 1. Its got loads of mojo and has an awesome neck and fret job. I love it! Just wish I knew more about who owned it before Hugh.

I love this bass-

I'm not sure I could handle a Series I- My Rogue has Signature electronics (along with the Bass-Treble quick change switches) and I find that I am constantly tweaking tone- I'd drive myself crazy with a Series bass. :help:

How's that graphite sound?
