Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Good looking board! How are you liking the Vintage Bass Octave?
I like the sound of it but mine's making some weird noises when not playing.
Trying to decide if I should send it back or not.

I had the same problem with VBO, it's like an oscillating helicopter sounding noise when something is plugged in it. Doesn't do it if there's no signal going through it. If you're looking for a 1590a size OC-2 clone, I definitely recommend the Valeton OC-10.

Uh... so I’ve rebuilt my board TWICE since I first posted here, and I’m pretty sure I’ve settled on this... I’m not sure that it still qualifies as “compact” now that it’s 24” wide, but it *does* only have three things on it.

Wow how does that Grace sound really clean? Their studio gear is TOTL stuff but never heard their bass gear? Any chance you could throw up a demo on youtube? And heard about that pedal all the way to the right it's basically a plugin pedal where you can set up a plugin in chain or chains and do all sorts of stuff, cab sims etc, is that right?

The Grace ALiX is AMAAAAAAZING. I agonized over spending the money because I already had the AI Flex Pre, but... it was worth it! I’ve got Graphtech piezos in my bridge, and am using GHS Pressurewound Bronze strings so they’ll also work with the mag pickup. Going through the ALiX, it sounds like a dreadnought ABG.

As for the Mod Duo on the right, you’re correct. The web interface is super easy to use when setting up a virtual pedalboard, although I’m still learning to navigate it when it’s not plugged into a computer. I would have chosen something like the Headrush Gigboard since it has a similar GUI right on the face of the unit, but what sold me on the Mod Duo was the two separate physical inputs and outputs (three+ if you count the midi instrument capabilities). Since my bass is stereo out, I can run a completely separate effect chain for each pickup, and each pickup into a separate preamp (I recombine the signals through the Red Panda Bit Mixer behind the Hartke, although both pres have XLR outs for FOH).

Recently joined a post rock band and they're encouraging my bad habit of collecting pedals.

I'm going to replace the LM308 beta with a MXR bass distortion. I know it gets mixed reviews, but the Beta LM308 just isn't cutting through. The Dispatch Master is new to me and I'm still trying to figure out my approach there.

Distortion aside, any ideas or suggestions?

Did you end up getting a T-16? If so, how’d you like it? I have one on its way from a fellow TB’er.

I have for some years and it's a great pedal. It nails the OC-2 tone but does much more. The filter knob allows a great variety of octave tones. And the tracking is also very good for an analogue octave pedal.

Nice to see another Plex user! :)
According to @TonyP- we may see the overdue update at the end of this month!
Great looking board man!
Best wishes,
Brent

+1
I use the same pedal.

You two are making me really excited! Can’t wait for my T-16!
