Swapped out the Cali CB for the TXL and the VTDI for the Q-Strip. Now, I’m looking for a small OD pedal to fill in the small space at the top. I’m thinking about the MXR 89. What do you think?

Pedal stacking, huh? Interesting...I like the TXL, but the size is crazy! It’s definitely a keeper though.OK...
Now that you have the Q-Strip, use the HPF/LPF and "86" the Broughton HPF, turn your Cali sideways and put that tuner (or a TC) on that home plate size compressor and free up some real estate for 2-3 other pedals!

I kinda like having a variable HPF, otherwise it would be gone now that I have the Q.
Wouldn‘t the VTDI fit in there?Swapped out the Cali CB for the TXL and the VTDI for the Q-Strip. Now, I’m looking for a small OD pedal to fill in the small space at the top. I’m thinking about the MXR 89. What do you think?

. How do you like the Q-Strip compared with the Mesa?I really liked the Mesa, but I was craving more of a tube sound and less of the Mesa baked in sound. I liked being able to use the 2 mid EQ and wanted a pedal that had that...the q fit the bill. It’s extremely transparent, and can be turned off (Mesa is always on). I miss the deep switch though.What happened with your Mesa pedal?
I had been eyeballing that Q-Strip before I bought my Mesa pedal - immediately after buying my Mesa pedal they released the Mesa Di/Preamp pedal. How do you like the Q-Strip compared with the Mesa?
It will. I try it. I really like the Ampeg vibe the VT produces.Wouldn‘t the VTDI fit in there?
Yes. Just use a daisy chain cable that Cioks make to power your low amperage 9v pedals from one output.Dumb question for someone looking to join this club soon: can I power 5 pedals off a CIOKS DC4? Two of them will be a Diamond Compressor Jr I want to feed 18v and a SushiBox Slampegg that eats up a ton of mAs, and I'm undecided whether that one will be 9v or 12v. Other pedals I want to include eventually will be a Polytune mini tuner, an MXR Vintage Bass Octave, and a yet to be determined dirt pedal. Can I run some of the lower draw pedals off one output on the CIOKS DC4?
@Nunovsky What's the pink pedal?
I threw this together from some aluminum angle & wood scraps a couple years ago -- I just can't bear to give it up for a bigger board, it sparks too much joy. Shoutout to @father of fires and @whoismarykelly for building some extremely dope stuff, there's gotta be something in Baltimore's water that churns out herculean bass filth mutants.

Our tastes match again, apparently. Best dirt pedal I've ever had. It does everything and very well.Smallsound/Bigsound Mini OD.
I often just look at the pictures and was already wondering why you would need two tuners. But now I get itToday I rethought my pedal situation, and built a modular board for both fly gigs and gigs when I need a bit more.
Built around two Nano+. Each board is working by itself but can easily be combined![]()
