The Cioks 4 is the only piece of gear that's left on the underside since I took this pic. Awesome little beast. Dead quiet. And it does power Effectrode pedals too, which is an absolute winner!!!

Updated nano. This is powered by a Cioks 4, just need to do some cable management underneath.
Been on a mission fine tuning my pedal boards this week. I have posted my extreme tetris Nano on here before, but I built a new board for it today so I could get a battery underneath and manage cables a bit easier. I essentially built it like a mini Metro so it has 3 rails, so there were 2 gaps to get cables thru (minor mis calculation, the top gap is 2mm too small, so I couldn't get the tuner sockets thru. Had to route cables of the centre bar!). It is actually 10mm wider than a Nano, and 15mm deeper. Still fits in a Mono Tick though. Once I had it all together I realised I could have made it 355mm wide, the same width as a Nano as the new layout made cable management so much easier. The thought of taking it apart and trimming it down so it goes in the Tick a bit easier makes me die a little inside and sob uncontrollably. I used 25mm sq tube, Aluminium flat and 2 different sizes of Aluminium angle.
The only layout change is the Mute switch got flipped 180. I even peeled the sticker off and put it on the right way!

There are four different sizes in here. I had to count them myself!
If I am using an amp with a good DI, I bring the mini board for the basic tuner-compressor-delay set. If we are not using amps, I bring a bigger board with a Q/Strip or the Mesa Subway+. They all sound very good, to me, for what I am doing. The compressors are always on, and the delay only comes on a few times a night. The Q/Strip or the Subway pre offer enough tone shaping to just go direct. From what I am hearing, a cab sim or something along those lines might help on nights where there are no amps, but I am out of room over here!
The two bigger boards are Nano +'s, next is a Nano, then the Oasis Blue mini.
That mini board is pretty useful, if you like the Wampler compressor, and you don't need easy access to the mod controls on the full size Carbon Copy. I pack that up with an Acoustic Image Clarus SL-R and it doesn't weigh much more than lunch. I could get away with losing the Carbon and just use the delay in the AI, get it down to just a mini tuner and the mini compressor. I might have to think about that.

I've read this about OCD Clones often, and I have certainly heard it, but I'm not convinced it's as drastic as some people say. This one has either an LPF or HPF and I am running it on LPF and turning the tone up further than I normally would to get some crunch back and find it pretty good. In saying that, if I use OD stand alone I'm normally playing with a pick (leaving the comp on) and half palm muting so maybe that makes it thumpy enough that I don't notice? if playing it finger style I have the Octave and Filter on to get a synth type vibe so I wouldn't notice low end loss as badly in that application either...Or maybe my ears are crap and I have no concept of tone??!!
Thanks heaps. Lots crammed in there. However the clean tone with MXR M81, Becos CompIQ, and Fairfield Modele B working together is almost the highlight!

Metro 20??
That is a Metro 24. I wear a size 13 wide so I need my pedals all side by side on a single row. I tried an angled board before but I kept stepping on multiple pedals.
I can't over state how good the new Cioks DC-7 and 4 power units are. I've just purchased another Cioks 4 to go under another board. More power (options and output) and lower profile than anything else I've found.

Pretty simple, really. This is my first pedalboard. Pedaltrain Nano+. Could probably be a bit tidier, but it's functional for now, and I'm happy with it.
Had an MXR chorus last time I posted. Turned out that really belonged on my big board. It took the place of the phaser, which was too much really, so I put it on the small board where it could spread out a bit. The Fishman makes things so clean and open that a little goes a wicked long way with both effects.
