Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Thanks @Smurf-o-Deth -- looks like they're sold out and none available on Reverb... but *that* is basically what I'm looking for.

Tacking back to the SA stuff, @deepestend or anyone who knows about these boxes: I've watched some Neuro videos on YT and it's pretty impressive! One question I can't figure out: is it possible to upload, let's say, a chorus preset to the Spectrum? Or are you limited by each pedal to certain types of effects? Seems like, since these things are all computers, that SA could make one pedal to rule them all, but from a financial perspective I see the appeal :)

PS: Has anyone every played bass through one of these EHX Mod11s? I can't seem to find any YT videos on them.

Thanks for all the help here folks!

Unfortunately, you can't upload flanger/chorus/straight OD sounds to the spectrum. Wish you could! Not sure if there is an actual software/hardware limitation or what, but that's how it works.

I need to check again, but I thought I was able to upload some of the chorus/flange sounds from the C4 library to my Spectrum. just not the synth stuff.. I do have both and I use the C4. Actually I was planning on selling the Spectrum cause the C4 covers more ground, but I remember being surprised that some C4 sounds were able to be uploaded. Just been so long that I need to check...

Yes, C4 and Spectrum share many presets. Just not the synth stuff.

Fuzz will rotate, but this is a nice do most of it compact board if/when I don’t want to bring the mothership…

Tell me about the Mountain Goad pedal. I had never seen that before and just read up on it. Looks very interesting. How does it compare to other muffs?

I haven't had a ton of time with it, but it's definitely higher gain and more gravelly than the other muff pedals I have - which includes a W&C Super Russian and the SUF Civil Unrest & Black Russian. I would say it's not quite as beefy in the lows as those three, but those three also add thunder compared to clean lows. So the Goat is just adding a bit less - not losing any. If you crank it, it borders on some of that velcro-ish fuzz, but it's not distinctly synthy. Hopefully that helps. I had never heard of it before it popped up on Reverb, but I'm glad I snagged it...

Good description. I'm gonna keep an eye out for one.

All this talk of Phasor's, Filters and Octaves.....
Thought I better post the latest updates to my little Metro 16
All powered by Cioks DC7 with a passive HPF (first in line) set at 30hz under there too.
This then feeds into a Mesa D800+ Preamp with variable HPF

Seeing this is gonna make me spend money..:roflmao:
Love my MBD2, want a TAFM... And have been seriously eyeballing all 3 of those Mutron pedals:drool:

I know I’ve commented before but I dig the Black Cat! :)
I’ve had a couple before and ended up selling them unfortunately. I’ve been on the lookout for another but they seem scarcer than usual. I think Black Cat may have closed their doors as well. They were never very good at communicating but not a peep now and the website looks like it’s just an archive.
Hold yours dearly! Nothing sounds like it.
Stay healthy my friends,
Brent

Fiddled around with my Pedaltrain Nano the last month or so - thinking what should I add, given that I could always unmount my RNDI and Behringer P1 since they’re not pedals per se.

Compressor - I do have the Darkglass Hyper Luminal which is very versatile due to the fact that it emulates 3 different compressor models and it does sound pretty good but in the end I took it off the board.
I figured I’m either playing a small bar like gig where the characteristic of the bass compressor is basically indiscernible or I’m playing my main big(ish) gig where I’m better off sending a dry signal to my sound guy and let him handle the bass compressor settings on a song by song basis too. He’s using the Waves plugins suite and can make use of scene snapshots so it’s a lot easier for me too.

Drive - I did try the Darkglass Alpha Omicron which I kinda liked but I didn’t feel it added enough on low gain settings - it absolutely slays on high gain settings but I simply don’t need that atm. Talkbass really GASed me up on a MBD-2 though but since I have no objective ‘need’ for it I’ll postpone getting one for now.

Octaver - I do have both the OG OC-2 and the DOD Meatbox but I feel like the Boss fits better in most mixes and is a lot more fun to play with. I’ve also had someone mod mine - removing the -2 OCT pot entirely and replacing it with a sweepable LPF on the -1 OCT. This also resulted in being able to go over unity gain with the -1 OCT soloed which is awesome. Bonus points for the OC-2 to being my Moog Sub Phatty emergency backup.

I did also think about getting an HX Stomp as an all in one solution for everything but the RNDI is just so easy to work with on a PA that I’ve stopped that thought process pretty early on. Not messing around with endless settings is also very much appreciated.

This is just my two cents - I’ve never thought that I’m going to end up with a Nano board with effectively one pedal but here I am. Maybe other people will find my quest useful too.

Small update, the Soul Food has been replaced by a TAFM.
This fuzz is Awesome! :D

Here is my nano+ board, completed yesterday.
Will probably replace the Soul Food with something else.
Tried a few fuzz, but I think the Simplifier Preamp FX Loop is buffered, the fuzzes all sounds like sh*t, muffled, etc. Any ideas ?
