Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Finally manage to settle with this setup

Started up some pedalboard planners and ended up with this thing.

Think I'm set. That is what this thing is going to look like. Fully mobile, running off a Falken power bank, all of this going straight into my headphones. Going to buy some gold EBS flat cables, cable management tools. The board is from Temple Audio, the solo 18M model.

Just thought I'd share what my research has yielded. Currently owning the amp and the VSC, gonna buy the dark star and the omicron and the rest soon-ish.

Loving that the VSC is just the VSC now. MB lost its naming priveleges with that color scheme.

That’s like ‘Settling’ with a supermodel. Nice board!

i tried to not only go monochromatic, but all black about six months ago… overpaid for a Polytune 3 Mini Noir, only to immediately change everything and feel like a putz for doing so :roflmao:

Thank you.

yeah true, the only thing that's coloured on my board is the Gemini, hence I B&W the photo. I was also aiming for the noir but it's either out of stock or a $$$ more.

Have you owned another compressor? If so, have you compared it to the warden?I've got a DIY warden with (boneyard) mods but haven't a/b'd it with my Keeley.

I have had a Kokko comp, Ampeg Opto, Beccos CompOne, Seymour Duncan Studio, and a Boss LMB-3. I have used a Diamond Bass Comp and a Keeley Bassist.

The Warden fits where I like with good control, ability to be transparent or add some sauce, and absolutely no noise.
Its only con is its lack of metering IMO.

The Dark Star is a fantastic pedal, and you can get some wonderfully spacey reverbs/pads out of it. I have one, and my wife commandeered it for when she wants to screw around with her Warren Ellis tenor guitar and make atmospheric sounds.

What is the "VSC" of which you speak?

That is so funny to read because my partner is like your wife. They told me to get the pedal so that they can make ambient and spacey sounds :)

VSC is my take on the Markbass compressore, the volume-etric shi+ compressor :P

There are pictures of it not too far up

I finally get to post in this thread for realz, and not just as an admirer, LOL! I have a pretty sweet, non-compact board that has made me happy for a while, but I think I finally managed to convince my band to try an ampless setup! Although my big board would be well suited to ampless duty, I wanted something more in the vein of a true IEM bass rig.

Here's my main bass board:

Here's my recently, as in today, finished compact, IEM board:

The GT-1000Core is new because I wanted to give it a try and see how it compares to the HX Stomp. I'll swap them back and forth until I figure out which one suits my needs the best. The DC-7 is pretty fantastic, and the Grip mount is brilliant! I like it a lot. I have a Sushi Box SBVT/Finally combo that I'll try out against the Noble when they come back, and the Boss wireless is getting replaced by an Audality M1 system next week. Should be interesting.

I'm not planning on dismantling the big board, since I might need to go back to it, but I'm putting a bunch of my eggs into the compact board setup.

That is a very nice set up there sir. I'm trying to get us to go ampless as well. Very interested to hear your take on the HX Stomp vs. the GT-1000Core.

This board has gone through several changes in the last few months, but I think this will remain as such for a bit. I recently managed to get my hands on an OC-2, which is taking the place of the C4 Synth I had. The C4 Synth is a great pedal but somehow I just wasn't blown away by it. Maybe I just prefer pedals that do one specific effect but do it really really well.
