Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Just got a Tech 21 Leeds and its an amazing sounding pedal.

If anything is going to knock the blueberry off my board it will be this. Wish it was a bit smaller though.

It fits in the front pocket of my gigbag without any issues. That being said, the mini pedal makes it an interesting trade-off because I save space by not going with the full size ego compressor… But now I can’t run the entire pedalboard off of batteries, which now requires bringing a power supply and daisy chain.

Hi all,
Sorry for my question
I’m a total beginner about pedals so I “desperately” need an advice.
I’ve been using a Darkglass Element for my silent practice. Setup it’s really simple: element—> Bass .
Now I have at my disposal a HX Stomp so my idea is to build a small pedalboard. The HX stomp would the central piece (I’d like to experiment with signal chain and effects) and then using the Element for the Bluetooth functionality and headphones.
So
HX Stomp —> Element —> Bass
Is that possible?
the Element should be at the end of my signal chain (according to Darkglass manual)
I don’t understand how to connect the twos: now I use “instrument in /speaker out” to connect the Element to the bass. if I want to add the Stomp, how can I do it?
thanks :)

If I'm understanding correctly, and you want to run the stomp INTO the Element to get the cab sims, you do this...

In a pedalboard, your bass should always connect to the 'Input' of the first pedal of your chain, and then you'll run a patch cable from the 'output' of pedal 1, to the 'input' of pedal 2, and so on.

In a pedalboard config, the Element should be last in your chain, and you should always plug whatever pedal is in front of the Element into 'Instrument In'

Thank you very much for you reply :)

yes my idea is to run the Stomp into the Element given the fact that the latter shoul be put at the end of the signal chain ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed] see “connection diagrams”)
So if I understand correctly the input for my bass will be the HX stomp instead of the element, but still the latter is at the end of my signal chain ‘cause I connect the Stomp into “instrument in/speaker out “. Am I right?

Yep.

Think of it like this... this may be the dumbest metaphor I've ever used, but I'm making it up as I go.

Say you're at the mall shopping for Christmas... Your goal is to pull in, go get a bunch of stuff, then head back to your car and dump all of the stuff in the trunk. Your car pulling into the mall is your bass's output jack, perfectly clean, going to the first pedal. Your car leaving the mall is the end result, the last thing in your chain before you physically hear it...your car with all the stuff you bought pulling out of the parking lot.
  • You pull into the mall parking lot. This is your bass's original clean signal.
  • You walk into the first store (Pedal 1's input), you buy something and start to carry that bag around with you (your bass's original signal + however pedal 1 changed it.).
  • You walk out of that store carrying the bag (Pedal 1's output). You'll be carrying it until you get to your car to put it in the trunk***
  • You walk into the next store (Pedal 2's input) carrying your bag from the first store, and buy something else (your bass's original signal + pedal 1 + pedal 2). Now you're carrying two bags.
  • You walk out of that store (Pedal 2's output) and keep shopping (repeat that example for pedals 3 - however many you have) until you're done.
  • Once you're done shopping, you get back to your car and dump all your bags into your trunk. You pop the trunk and put all of the bags in the trunk (the DI / Element / Amp's 'input') and you start the car and pull out (DI's XLR Jack / Cable to amp / headphones), you're leaving with your original signal (what you showed up with) + all of the baggage from all the other pedals.
I put the stars by the 'You'll be carrying it until you get to you car.' because you start to get into effects loops and sidechaining, and stuff like that... you'll eventually want to learn about that for the stomp, but the jist of it... that's like taking multiple trips back to the car to load the trunk before you leave.
