Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Doesn't that mean you're doing it right, then? i.e. Using your ears, not your eyes or knowledge of what should sound best according to reviews and oipinions?

Also, I would rock that board any day...

Exactly. I’m listening w my ears for once! And have just come to terms w:
  • The octave sounds best when played higher up on the neck.
  • I like the sound of a brighter delay with less delay signal blended in.
  • I just can't make an envelope work the way I think I want it to.
  • Muff sounds best when you work the volume to overdrive it. It's interactive with your instrument volume, not set and forget.
  • Diamond sounds best first in the chain, not last. It's not a good limiter but a very good sweetener.
  • Boost section of the Super Russian can get overdriven by the Diamond with enough vol on the Diamond.

I have most of the components for my first bass board. The Digbeth and Studio bass were acquired via highly discounted sales. The board itself and the phaser/octave were from the guitar pedal drawer. The di was cheap as chips. I have had it forever.

The DI will be upgraded when funds are available with a BAE PDI that will go under the board. The octave later with an MXR vintage bass octave. I want to add a tuner also. After those core pieces are done, I will add some color boxes of some sort. I haven't decided on any

of that yet

Christmas bonus 2022 board. Everything but the wireless, comp, tuner, board and PP ISO 5 are new to me.

Kinda love this a lot. Coming from using an HX Stomp for two years, I realized this was all I ever used out of it...so went for the best I could afford in what I used. We'll see how 2023 goes.

What pedalboard is that? Never seen anything like it

also @DJWhitJr @odarellmc:

This is the board I’m using:

SOYAN 14” x 10.6” Guitar Pedal Board with Gig Bag, Build-in Power Supply Cradle (M-14S) https://a.co/d/gVYjUt8

For an Amazon rando brand it’s actually a quite nice board (bag is something to be desired but I have a Pelican case it fits in quite nicely).

The risers are Vertex Pedal Lifts (1.5”) that I bought from Sweetwater. To get the back row more accessible. It’s all on a 10.6” x 14” board that I mocked up many times with cardboard and on pedalplayground… really pleased with getting things more compact and portable for the year ahead.

….current iteration/variation/permutation/deviation/implementation of my small board. All powered by a cioks7. The Interbass provides an optional 45 watt power amp, aux in hack (via parallel fx return ) , balanced out, phones out and eq. Cheapo Looper/ tuner before the Quilter. 10.6x13.6 inches…..easily sits on top of a cab.

nice board !

Hello tbers! i didnt want the pedals to be just sitting in the case collecting dust so i have made 4 compact boards and one big board (not pictured possibly midsized when compared to other awesime tbers with their big boards ). the only board ive been using on gigs is the top board (arkham rig) and the bottom board (origin effects rig) that alone is enough for the 2 bands i play with atm. but the others are just for home/studio use only. i cant play and enjoy them if its just sitting on a box so ive made boards for them (still have some pedals that are not on boards) although they are not being played as much as i thought i would.. but still its a nice thing to have options when bored . cheers!

Thanks-the Interbass is such a cool, versatile little machine. It sounds very good all on its' own.

I probably didn't need to read that... I am liking a recently acquired BB-800 and the Master rarely goes ove the 40 watt mark. Not sure how accurate that is but ... it may be. I rehearse with a pair of GK MB-200's. 1 in each practice space. I rarely get over about 1/4 turn on the Volume.

How are you using both envelope filters on that second board?
