Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Updated board with NPD Beta-V. Running the Beta and the Ground n Pound at 12v for now, but will try 'em at 18.

Are you going from the balanced out of the LA-1A to the Noble?
It depends. I like the sound of the balanced out more than the regular output. The balanced out includes some color from the transformer. However, the balanced out bypasses the gain nob which is needed to bring the signal down to a level cvilized enough for the Noble if I am boosting the Effectrode into overdrive mode. Most of the time I am not using the Effectrode for overdrive, so I use the balanced out.

@T-boneParish, what kind of pedalboard is that? Thanks.

It's a [This invalid link has been removed]. I like using the quick release plates instead of velcro and it has a mod to mount a Cioks power supply, a power switch that turns on/off the whole board, and mounted jacks to connect the board to the instrument and the amp/DAW/whatever.

I use the same board for bass and pedal steel guitar (going into different amps).

The underside has room to mount a couple of always-on pedals with the quick release plates, and if I need more DC power adapters than 5 from the Cioks, I can run them from the Noble. Still experimenting!

I use the Cali76 Stacked. I use a pick 100% of the time and the Stacked gives me the control I want. I think if I couldn't have a Stacked I'd want the normal Cali76 over the bass model to have the unlinked attack release controls. That said I'm sure I could "live" with the bass model too :)

I’m between those 2 models but leaning towards the staked to have control over those picks attack. I play some pick style and the stacked would be a great option. I can also have some LA2A compression from the HX Stomp…

thanks
Cool

NOICE!

KILLER BOARD!

Pretty much doing this exact board but would like to ask if anyone is using the Cali76 stacked over the normal bass one…
I’m also ordering the Jad Freer CAPO from the You Tube videos and all the info I have gathered. Seems like a killer preamp/DI.

what are your thoughts?

thanks
Cool

I have a Cali 76 CB. What is the "Stacked"? What are the differences?

The Deluxe Cali has the benefit of unlinked attack and decay controls.

The Cali Bass has a variable sidechain HPF, but the attack decay is linked. The sidechain HPF gives you the option of the higher frequencies having more impact on the dynamics than the low frequencies.

The Stacked is two 1176s cascaded in series, each with independent inputs, and attack decay controls - but no variable ratio (it's 4 I think, which more than enough cascaded). So, for example, you can have the first one with a slow attack (and faster release) allowing more initial note attack before compression and then the second with a faster attack (and slower release) helping limit and sustain your notes.

Well…^^^^^ pb remains untouched…it’s perfection, tone-wise. However, I enjoy having a 2nd super compact pb, and realized tonight that ultra simplicity with a Mono Lite/Tick 2.0 combo is the key. (I left my green LED TA Duo13 intact—can quickly move pedals over, if I need an octave and more dirt)…but this always-on “Nano-size” pb helps me not fuss with knobs, and just play bass…which is the point, right!?:cool:View attachment 5227778View attachment 5227779
(Shure wL>PC-2A>MORE>mT>SV)

I haven’t browsed the effects forums in a while. I jumped into this thread thinking that my Bassrig SV is just about my perfect single pedal solution, but wondering if there was something with just a little “more.”

This post was my first unread one in the thread. Nicely played.
