Show me your compact pedalboard setup

@Rocksolid Congrats on your new XBD! Enjoy hours of turning knobs before you start 😄 But then you'll likely end up with an amazing sound. The sound I managed to get from this setup is truly amazing (to my own standards): high-gain 'glassy' top, tight and punchy bottom/low mids and nasty overdrive/growl–but only when I hit strings hard. This is however in part due to dry bass signal I always keep in the mix.

It goes like this: Bass >> Tuner >> JDI input. From the JDI XLR output to interface channel 2. From the JDI thru (parallel out jack) >> compressor >> noise gate >> XB Driver (noise gate is additionally in XBD FX loop) >> interface ch. 1.

Decided to give the Stomp a go as a (basically) stand alone. The Humboldt is just such a great sounding comp/pre, that I couldn’t let it go. And Sonic Research saves me a block, and just works!

Looks good! Just a bit confused - with the Helauxy Duo MIDI v2 that you have on your stomp, you should be able to toggle the tuner by pressing both switches at once, without using any additional DSP.

Arrival of a GT 1000 Core has meant I've been able to cut down on a lot of individual pedals I was previously using for gigs when I had my Zoom B1-4: the GT Core provides an excellent drive/fuzz, along with the usual modulation fx and not too shabby an up-sweep filter either!

So I've found myself just using the two pedals shown, and wanted to get a compact pedal board to match which can more easily slot into my gig bag. I found one by a previously unknown brand "Stritch" - the feet were a little too tall for my needs at 4cm & 3cm respectively, but easy to unscrew and replace with four 2cm ones, which still allows plenty of clearance for my HB Iso Pro 5 PSU on the underside.

Swapped out the Wampler Equator for the Empress ParaEQ. I was having some intermittent sound drops from the Wampler, especially when I adjusted the pots. While I'm figuring that out, I figured I'd just swap the pedal into a board I'm not using. This one is my main board, so it needs to be functional. The ParaEQ is actually a better pedal anyway, so I think I'll keep this setup.

I use both together. Yes, it's a lot of EQ, but I like lots of control. I don't like when a room interferes with my sound. With a lot of EQ, I can usually compensate.
I have that same Empress pedal and a Broughton Studio 1 as well as my main sound and a TC Spark Booster to add some low end and some add. level when playing the rear J PU.

I laughed... I've been browsing on TalkBass but I've been a ghost. I haven't changed a setup or been looking for anything new for a long time. I just happened to redo my board this morning, and when I logged in, I saw a ping on a real old post of mine in this thread

Back in '21, I had a 'Huge' mini board. Then, in early '24, I switched it up to an SGT-DI + HX Stomp. In my final downsizing, I'm slumming it on a Donner board, but I've never been happier with my sound FOH. I just finished locking down all the cables this morning. Also, it is super petty, but when the new SGT-DI came out, I definitely sold my old one (to be fair, for more than I paid used) and picked up the anniversary edition. To me, it looks so much better.

Love my OG black SGT-DI but the blue is a stunner.

I'm sorry, but that's not a pedalboard. Those are processors. They look nice, but that's not a pedalboard.
The fact that you put two processors on the pedal stand does not make it a pedalboard. The pedalboard consists of independent pedals.
This fact has been bothering me for a long time, and I'm sorry you're the one I had to tell, but with two processors without a single pedal it is just too much.
Nothing personal...once again, it looks nice, but... I think it's finally time to make a new thread like ''Bass Processors'' or ''Hybrid Bass pedalboards''.
