Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Agreed, I think the transformer is the hang up?
@Valiesh what did you use?
Yes, it is. I believe the 'sound' of this box comes from using a theoretically 'not ideal' transformer. I chose a UK-made Sowter 1585, which is their replacement for the Triad A-11J, originally used in the Wolfbox, I think.

The price of a vintage Triad was more than I was willing to pay, and the new production wasn't available at the time. (I've just checked Digikey—they now have some A-11J repros in stock. The Sowter option is still cheaper, though...)

Thanks!!!
Did you change anything else in the circuit to help the Sowter work better?

Not needed, the Sowter has, as far I as I know, the exact same caracteristics (exept physical) as the Triad.

I've built the Wolfbox as shown on the schematics we can find online (I may still have the specific one I used somewhere on my computer. If I find it, I'll be happy to share it).

All I need..

Back when I played my Capo, I didn't even need an additional drive pedal. The Capo's B side took care of that.
But I love the sight of your B'n'W board!
How are you powering it?

That's my usual concern with Nano sized boards: what PSU and where to put it?
I use a Truetone CS6 - I have raised the board slightly by gluing some furniture pads on the original feet..

Love the Capo B side - but it´s nice to have even one more stage of gain. I run A side clean (DI out) - B side slightly saturated and Xotic BB for overdrive. Into Hiwatt DR103 / Fender 6x10.

Live board from Friday night. I’m going to pick back up a BDDI v2 to use as well. I like it just a tad better to FOH, but the VTDI is great too.

Let me tell you what I done did though. The plan was for when I have an active bass, just go ahead and go parallel out of the VTDI to amp and let VTDI and Finally do FOH.

Well if you look at the pic, and I didn’t even realize what I did until after the show, I went straight out of the Finally into the amp. So everything went to the amp. It sounded really good.

I’ll do it the intended way next time and see which is better.
