Show me your compact pedalboard setup

I put this together today for my Ibanez UB804. Pretty happy with it so far.

Your board is rad. A proper "clean tone only" board. And props to the ST-200, mine is 15 years old and has MANY miles on it. Here's my similar thang..
That Capo board was not really clean sounding: in fact I used it in a 90's crossover style band using a Nordstrand passive 5 string Precision with a pick.
It had a light drive and "some more" drive using the second channel (stacking the B channel).

How do you like the RC for clean tones?
I had that same pedal but only used it for driven pick tones .... should have kept it and try it clean.

I won't play w/o the RC(well, y'know what I mean). It's part of my clean sound, always on, live and studio. I only use passive basses, and I love how it adds weight and presence but still sounds like my passive bass, not "hyped" in any way. I used the OG one for probably almost 20 years, recently got the V2. Running it 18v does seem to add a little something, a little "air" to the sound.

My son, who up til last night owned one pedal, an EHX chorus, asked what a good distortion for bass would be. He picked one of my old Bass Drives, and so I slapped the two on a 10x5 temple riser with a 1-spot daisy and viola! he has his first pedalboard.

Hey man, this thread is "show me *your* compact pedalboard" not "show me your son's compact pedalboard". Get with the program!

Just kidding. You're a mighty fine dad, getting your boy all kitted out like that. I dig it :)

I'm sorry, but that's not a pedalboard. Those are processors. They look nice, but that's not a pedalboard.
The fact that you put two processors on the pedal stand does not make it a pedalboard. The pedalboard consists of independent pedals.
This fact has been bothering me for a long time, and I'm sorry you're the one I had to tell, but with two processors without a single pedal it is just too much.
Nothing personal...once again, it looks nice, but... I think it's finally time to make a new thread like ''Bass Processors'' or ''Hybrid Bass pedalboards''.

Let me guess...you're not a fan of multi-fx pedals?!

But why stop there? I mean you may as well say electric basses are pretty "processed". Sure they look nice, but we should just stick with authentic upright double basses, preferably with a bow?

:roflmao:;)

I think I'm replacing the chorus with a delay with modulation. Set up with a short time and a lot of mod is a great enhancer for my fretless, it creates space and movement without adding the high mids resonances a chorus tipically ads. This one is a loaner from the guitar player in my band, I have yet to decide if I'm getting the same one or trying something else (a smaller form factor would be nice).

The preamp is a keeper, always on, slight breakup, but I'm not sure on the Accountant yet; so far I found it useful as a booster pushing the preamp into (more) overdrive but not in love with it for clean tones. I might try another compressor or maybe ditching compression entirely.

They got footswitches, then they pedals.

The Mxr carbon copy will suit your needs well. Good price and a mini version is available. I use modulated delay on my worship board regularly.

I think the keeley bassist is currently on sale. Good simple choice.

I can't find a video of the Carbon Copy that demos something similar to what I want to do. Whenever they set the time to the shortest setting, they always seem to push it into self oscilation. Can you set a very short delay time with a decent ammount of feedback without oscilation?

I've tried to accomplish the same thing in using a delay to cop a chorus tone as I do not use either all that much and thought this would be a way to streamline without getting a dedicated pedal for each. I tried a few delay pedals but honestly it didn't quite work out the way I wanted. I could get a setting that was in chorus territory but seemed to always compromise something. That being said, I could've been doing something wrong as well.
