Show me your compact pedalboard setup

So, I’ve had a couple conversations with the Walrus Audio team about making a mini version of the Julia. And they’ve been intrigued, but unwilling to commit any resources towards it. Any enterprising pedalbuilders up to the task? I’m talking a one-knob version that sweeps through the ratios well; OR a one-knob version that does what I want it to do.

Just noodling

Excuse my ignorance, but what is that unit you have the cioks plugged into? Been wanting to go cordless with a walrus canvas hp, and that looks like it would work well.
It’s one of the Rockboard mods - MOD Patchbay Overview | RockBoard

EDIT - it is a patch-bay, not a power supply. You’d still need to solve for power source.

Anyone use batteries with their pedalboards?. If you do which one?
A friend gave me a Rockboard Power LT XL, I use it with my small board for jams — 3–5 pedals.

Unlike Naigewron above, mine doesn't take long to charge.

Once charged lasts 3–4 jams (maybe more?), each jam spanning an entire evening of about 4–6 hours — far longer than most gigs I've played (3–4 sets of 45-minutes each). I don't know exactly, the battery seems to last forever and I only recharge it because I get nervous it might peter out mid-jam.

Of course, what is considered "a lengthy time to charge" is subjective.

I bought a new (internal) laptop battery, but the laptop it was destined for was toast; I was going to repurpose this new laptop battery to be a pedalboard battery, by adding the necessary bits to it for it to function in that manner and recharging and figuring out a way to house it to protect it and fit it under a board and... then my friend gave me the LT XL which took all motivation out of repurposing the laptop battery...

Anybody out there want to buy a NOS mint, never-been-used, Mac PowerBook battery?

Recently I've been using a Cioks 4, which can be run off any USB battery bank. That way if you're really worried about it, you can just bring along a spare bank and swap while the other charges. Last time I did the math on it my big 40,000mAh power bank would be able to run my board far longer than I would be able to play, like 16-20hours.

I've also had this one for a while, and it was my main power supply for a bit until I got into a bigger board. It works pretty well for a small battery powered board, provided you don't have multiple pedals hungry for mA, as there's only 1x 300mA slot. https://www.amazon.com/lotmusic-Isolated-Rechargeable-overcurrent-Protection/dp/B09MTKLN62. You can also charge this while playing, OR charge it off another battery bank.

Planning a return to a hybrid setup again after a few years using various 100% all-in-one setups (only HX Stomp, Helix LT, Helix Floor, and finally a full laptop plugin rig)

Well, the best laid plans...

So right as I was planning this board and had started shopping (bought a board and a power supply), we decided in my band that I will probably be performing guitar duties live for at least the foreseeable future. So with that in mind, I needed a board that was flexible enough to cover both guitar and bass (because I just don't have the funds or motivation to maintain two rigs).

I already used an HX Effects as my main bass rig, so I put it on the the new board and added a Tonex One as an amp modeler. So now I have presets on the HX Effects for both guitar and bass, and with three clicks on the Tonex One I can switch it from acting as a two channel guitar rig to a classic SVT setup. Really enjoying this little rig.

The board is a Jamstands JS-PB200. Basically the same as the Gator Aluminium Small, but slightly deeper.

Other stuff:
- Amp modeler: IK Multimedia Tonex One
- Multi-FX: Line6 HX Effects
- Wireless: Line6 G30
- Power supply: Cioks SOL

I have a simple patch bay for my L/R outputs underneath. The left output passes through a splitter first and splits off to a Neutrik XLR DI. I'll replace it with a proper passive DI box soon enough, but it works for now. I'll usually use the L/R 1/4" outputs into an external DI anyway, and the Neutrik then goes to my in-ear rig.

That’s a great setup there! Love the HX Effects and I don’t see myself letting go of it in spite of having moved on from it. Love to see dual duty boards!

I need to swap the chorus and the BDDI since I'll be using it as intended sans amp on my upcoming gig and I've spent time getting my amp heads closer to the tone from the BDDI so that I'm consistent without using it as a preamp so much. This is really all I need since the XS-1 does a great job of also being an accurate and flexible octave pedal. A mix of chorus and octave goes a long way towards getting a synthbass sound as well.
