Nice! Is this same instrument that's in your avatar?
Drop E0, does this mean it's tuned like a normal fiver, with an additional superlow E string?
And how thick is the lowest string?
The FULL full picture includes a Duncan STC-2c-BO (2-band preamp) together with a VVT setup (stacked Vol-Tone and 2nd Vol). Each pickup also has individual Neck Coil/Parallel/Bridge Coil switching.@eastcoasteddie I've pensively stared at your avatar before. Now I have "the full picture".

Hey dumb question - what's the purpose of the ashtrays? Is it supposed to protect the pickups and bridge? Or is it more just aesthetic?
Also what's a "contraband" neck?
It's a good question......... The Ash Tray is definitely aesthetic and it's only purpose that I can see is to get in the way of palm muting when using a pick.... plus I'm going for the Macca 67-68 Jazz Bass Model.
As for the "contraband" comment I was just being sarcastic as it's not a Fender neck, and when putting a Fender waterslide decal on it, some of the cork sniffers get their jock straps in a bind.... It's my bass and I'm never gonna sell it, and when I die and if someone does try to sell it, that will be their problem to deal with, as I will be too dead to give a two-hoots.
Oh I see. What kind of contraband neck did you go with?
I just recently had my 2017 Fender Roadworn 50’s P bass routed for a Jazz pickup in the 70’s bridge position. This bass is the best playing bass I’ve ever owned, it resonates like no other and it’s only 8 lbs. I love this p bass’s look and feel, but prefer the growl of a proper PJ setup. I had a set of DiMarzio PJ’s (DP126) installed, and retained the two knob setup. I always play with both pickups on full, so I had my tech wire it for master volume/master tone. It’s an absolute monster of a bass now.
And are you using it?4. Added the Hootenanny Strap Button behind the headstock.
