I do like a 45. Think that's something to do with a certain imported malt liquor :)

Did you know Colt 45 used to be French 76?

I have actually owned 4 Peavey basses. The first was a T40 (ash), bought in 1982 during a period of inactivity. I paid the ridiculous sum of $125 for it and flipped it for a $100 profit. The second was a 1986 Foundation (white), which I played until 1992. It developed a backbow in the neck that could not be adjusted away. I replaced it with a 1991 Dynabass 4 string (black), and played it until 1996. It also developed a backbow that could not be fixed. I did a "Jaco" on it and ripped the frets out, and messed around with it a couple of years until the neck got as flimsy as a rubber band ! I parted this one out. The fourth Peavey bass was a 1996 Axcelerator Plus (sunburst) purchased from a friend who was in need of quick funds. He wanted $150 for it, but I gave him $180. I never gave this bass a chance - it stayed in my rack at home for 2 years basically unplayed. I asked the friend if he wanted it back - he declined, so I sold it to another bassist friend. My fave of the bunch - the white Foundation ! (Sorry, no pics !) I wish that I had all of them back !

Here's my US Peaveys: (i) 95 Fury with Geezer pickup and Raven Labs preamp, (ii) another 95 Fury with Lindy Fralin pickup, (iii) 83 T40, (iv) 95 Foundation 5 with VFLs and (v) a Cirrus 6 with Audere preamp. Missing from the picture is a Super Ferrite fretless Foundation which is on semi-permanent loan to a cousin who's a young bassist with an up-and-coming band.
