haha i thought thunderbird83 was nikki monniger of silversun pickups at first , but no not the case

that's funny...Nikki is actually a friend of mine, who happens to be the first person I ever saw play a thunderbird live back in 2004. I'd pretty much fallen in love with t-birds from that day forward.

Why did you finish the wings in blue before the body/neck is assembled/cut/glued/sanded?

My first post on this forum, for your perusal, my Epi Thunderbird 4 in tobacco finish, standard at present apart from re-located strap pegs. Going to get custom pickguard and truss rod covers made in black tortoise shell finish, maybe have a re-paint though i'm undecided on a colour at present, but the one thing i'd love most is a Nikki Sixx "opti-grab". I can't source is as a spare part and i doubt anyone's selling one off an Epi Goth 'bird or Blackbird, if anyone would be up for selling me the part i'd be most grateful (pay through paypal).

Also looking to get a Pro 4 in Ebony in the future (not too distant )

Upgraded my 2007 zebrawood gibson thunderbird with a Mike Lull pickup in the neck position and went back to steels. Sounds really big and deep, with a nice treble bite when dialed up. Got a bit of the 60's vibe with the chrome cover. Dops right in...

I appreciate the fact that Epi was trying to "fancy-up" the birds with multiwood and see thru finishes to show it, but GEEZZZZZZZ, why didn't they just make a solid color option of the pro4's and 5's who can't stand that trans finishes

Yes I totally understand that they WANT to show you the construction, but for those like me who like solid, we are just out of luck again.

I also have the epi in alpine white, got it second hand but was happy to pay more than retail as it, being a custom shop playes so much better than the standard epiphones.
i use it with my USA P bass which gives me brilliant contrast to the T-bird
