Here's my Black 5'er. These were listed as discontinued almost everywhere, and then in summer of 2008 out of the blue I saw them listed as "in stock" at Musicians Friend. Best of all, they were marked down to $800. I called to verify they had them and they only had two, one Black, one Cherry. I went with the Black one because I wasn't sure what the Cherry would look like in person. Now I'm kicking myself for not getting both of them at that price

DR Black Beauties. Use them on my other Birds as well. When I get a Red Bird I'll probably try the DR Red Devils - assuming they sound the same.

Not a Gibson, but a rare and beautiful Jackson from 1993. It's virtually new!

That bass really looks like it just came from the factory, mine is in pretty bad shape (thanks to the previous owner).

that's the one from BassN.W. It IS MINT...
with the wild color I'm sure Tbird1958 will play it on stage eventually at least ONCE

My Bach-Bird is in,, Great bass and will be Killer with a few upgrades, God of thunder I need a pickgaurd,,,lol!
I just traded away a 77 vintage Rootbeer Jazz and Univox Ric Copy for a Bran new Mike Lull T-Bass in Ice Blue,,, Ooooo I can't wait.

I bet a Rickenbacker player would have some difficulty getting used to those backward shark-tooth fret markers!

Crazy thing is that the shape of the neck really recalls my old '73 4001! Aside from the obvious binding and tooth inlays, it's profile and how it feels in my left hand really bring back some memories I bought it having never played a Jackson bass before, beautiful build quality and lovely tone - Rawr!

I have been telling you what the neck felt like for 4 years now since you saw my black one, but IT IS hard to describe unless you feel it for yourself and compare it to something you may have/had. The neck used in all NT's was made at the same place USA or MIJ.

and being poplar wings on a maple center, a little on the heavy side huh?
less than 100 TBX left the factory on dealer orders only as so I was told, but the ones that are still out there in excellent condition are collectible, just not worth 25,000

it is sad they never made a bunch of different colors for them.

Hoozah! Another Zebrabird owner! Absolutely love mine, the only issue is the neck makes my hand hurt after a while. But it's so worth it.
