Thanks, I couldnt agree more! Its a shame Gibson stopped making the chrome hardware in general.

I'm sure the black hardware was a hit in the 80s, but it is 2011. I agree, Gibson should offer chrome hardware on their T Birds.

I love thunderbird's. They have that growl i seek. But i'm getting sick of black, white(even if my next custom is going to be white), red, etc. I'd love to see a thunderbird in korina like the explorers or flying Vs

here are my Thunderbirds:

The BaCHbird.
Personalized BaCH TH-1 (from the first series) with an added Gibson bicentennial bridge pickup. And a NOS Gibson pickup cover over the original Artec neck pickup. Custom pickguard with bird logo engraved and filled with acrylic paint.

That Gator case seems like a pretty nice and well padded case...

$150 but worth it to me since very few cases will accommodate the Thunderbird Pro IV bass which is about 2" longer than the standard model.
