We bought a house 6 months ago and now the noisemakers have their own room.

My bass room is tiny, it's also my spare (junk) room. My bungalow is tiny, and I would say most of you, the size of your bass rooms are bigger than my bungalow! Lol.
Perhaps you've noticed (when looking at photos posted by US residing TalkBass members) that we're pretty spoiled over here!

Ha! That may be true for some of us, but don't believe everything you see on the tele. I live in the Northeast and my house is one of the little kit homes built in the 1930s. This tends to be more true in the Northeast. Down South, the houses tend to run larger.

I don't think the V4 is yours. It is a V4b, and the white is some kind of window covering cloth or fabric. I got the head from Uncle Snake, a member on this board. I think he did the "Pimp" job.

How do you like your 51 reissue? I am seriously thinking about picking one up I found somewhat locally.
I have a '51 reissue as well and love it. I have Chrome flats on it and I'm very happy with it. The pickup is not a sturdy thumb rest, but I tend to just use it lightly as a thumb rest, or just float my thumb anyway, so it's fine for me. Putting flats on it changed the whole character of the bass and made it sound and feel "right" to me. I play mostly blues and R&B/soul. Your mileage may vary...

new electric is all run and hooked up, the supports for the built in desk mounted (picture was from earlier in that process). I need to by some coax and cat5 yet, I've got pull cord in place waiting.

I'm not a networking expert, but when we built an addition on our home, my teenage son (who's pretty good at it) insisted that we run Cat6 instead of Cat5. If you haven't purchased wire yet, it might we worth considering.
It's always interesting seeing Romex since I live in the land where even residential wiring runs in conduit!
