One personal and one for charity. The personal is a quad. The charity theme bass is a triple (twin Nordys plus a mudbucker hidden under the deck). Both sport Axetreme Creations pickguards, Babicz bridges and Audere preamps. I paid for the personals, the charity build parts were donated. Is that three J pickups on your personal one? What type are they? And have you figured out yet how you are going to wire it up?

Nice touch with the DR white neon strings to go on your carrier bass. Too bad you don't have a DR black beauty E and G string to put on there, that would fit the scheme and look cool and unique.

Hi Blue, long time no chat. Yes, 3 Dimarzio Area J splits. The Willpower is in parallel which gives it more range and helps match the volume to the other 3. Each pickup gets an on off switch. Two bridges go to one channel of the audere and the middle and neck go to the other channel.

On the strings, we have two custom sets with white for E and G and black for the two middle strings. I should add that Bass Strings Online donated one of the custom sets.

I'll try to get my son to do some clips. One of the most interesting and unique tone comes from using the extra bridge pickup by itself along with a healthy dose of bass boost from the preamp...kinda like a Stingray on steroids.

This is a two pickup bass, but I thought the complex wiring fans on this thread might like it. It has two preamps set up as Siamese twins - one for the magnetic and one for the piezo. Stacked controls are VV, TT, BB, MM with mid frequency switches for both. It's nice being able to roll off the highs and high mids on the piezo and still run the magnetic full range. Was Audere's David Meadows' idea.

The bass is a Spectorcore with the stock Fishman piezo bridge and an SGD Lutherie neo pickup. The black switch is series/parallel and the chrome ones are three position mid frequency selectors for the mid control (semi-parametric).

Home wound pickups, 3/8" diameter alnico pole pieces, 44 gauge wire, 8500 winds each, Rickenbacker style covers, aluminum casing. Wired through 3 volume controls. No tone control or switches.
