Fun thread!

Although the design only calls for a single volume knob, (think Rob Allen), the knobs on my RockHill builds are all fashioned directly from the glue up scraps of the body wood, so the curtains kind of match the drapes - pinstripes and all.

I made some custom knobs for my Lemmy bass build using Q-Parts knurled knobs. Very nice quality. They come with a number of different inserts,

I called the company and asked them to leave the inserts loose so I could make my own from walnut dowel stock with MOP stars to match the fingerboard inlays.

Came out pretty good.

If you are after something unique, I would check out Etsy. Bought some interesting stainless steel bell style knobs on there for a guitar I no longer have (do not have photos of the knobs either so not posting them here).

Just a barrel knob, but changing the color can be nice.

Journeyman Bass Prototype #7

Prototype for a line of basses designed by Michael Tobias and marketed by SWR. 12 Prototypes completed before the project dissolved. Bodies and necks were made in the USA (not sure who made them) with final assembly and QC by Michael Tobias. Design is MTD-esque with a more traditional feel (34" scale, different neck specs than MTD).

The original plan was for bodies and necks to be made in the USA with SWR completing assembly and distribution. Michael Tobias was to be responsible for QC. These were going to be part of a Workingman's bass series, but they changed the name to Journeyman when they realized how expensive the final product would be.
