I think that thinking tattoos are 'lame and cliche' is lame and cliche. Get with the times...

I have since added Bass Bandit on the one on my ankle.

those tatts are of two of my basses..I drew out the original design (got the bass "wings" off the internet but drew into my design). The red one was done too light tho, it's faded a lot. I was VERY happy with the one on my ankle.

right... thanks for that... that's put me right off the idea of having a bass guitar tat... too many straight lines... the guy should have used a ruler for those...

I'm thinking of a Bass Clef with bar's worth of blues shuffle shaking on the staff... and the staff having nice gracefully curved lines...

the thing that the artist told me, who did my first bass tatt, is he wasn't gonna to the strings all down the neck of the bass. It would be almost impossible to do and look perfect. Do some strings on the head stock and on the body but that was it. If the artist who did the tattoo of the Ibanez, didn't draw out the stings, then it probably would of looked more cleaner and neater.

I am guessing on the octopus one it's cause the legs or tenticles on it is curved sorta like a bass clef...maybe?? I haven't gotten thru this whole thread yet, so if someone already said that, sorry!

Jeez, some of you guys are brutal. I'm 43, just got my first tat. Not bass related but something that has a very deep meaning to me, and I couldn't be happier with it.

If you don't like tattoos, fine. Don't be so freakin superior tho- you ain't all that.

Being a troll is lame and cliched. I have a few music tats because I am very passionate about music and I am well over 40. What, only young people should have them? Do you have a tatoo of a nice, sensible calculator/etc you feel passionate about?

I think it a little unkind to ridicule the Korn bass. He has that for life and was probably very proud of it until he posted it here. The fact it is a bass makes it cool...OK!
