This bass that I built(it has knobs now and Aero pups with series/parallel push/pull pot) gets the nod for the more rocking songs

My other basses will probably get play too. I was reluctant to whip out the Grabber or Explorer since they're not as "church friendly", but one of the guitarists on my team rocks a red SG, so the Grabber may be used to keep the Gibson/Mesa continuity, heh. or the Explorer(even though it's a Brice).

Slightly off topic but still generally relating to the thread at hand:
I have had this idea floating in my head of a bass that I would like to build, it would have a religion theme, at the 3rd,5th,7th,9th,12th and so on frets, there would be various religios symbols, like a star of david, the trinity symbol (think led zeppelin) and various others, with the main inlay (12th fret) being this [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] it would have a 2 piece bridge and for the tailpiece, a brass/ other metal cross with holes drilled in it to hold the stings.

The 5 string is a Mark King Signature Deluxe, standard "point" body with a few extra goodies
- Series II electronics
- Gold Mother of Pearl Inlays
- Continuous wood backplates
- Amber Side LEDs
The wood structure is Mahogany core, Maple laminates, and Coco Bolo top and back. The neck is Maple, with three Purpleheart laminates and Ebony fingerboard.
If you look over its shoulder in the original picture, you can see the back of the "Stanley" bass, including the signature he added for me.
I got both basses the same week in June 2000. The 5 string is a custom order, the one from Stanley is a 1987 Series I. It is a standard "omega" body with Mahogany core, Burl Walnut top and back, Maple & Purpleheart neck and Ebony fingerboard. The frets on this one are mandolin frets and it has red Side LEDs.

i use my bongo at church... eventually i would like to use the 6 string bongo slated for release in 2007. and maybe a mtd 635, or an fbass bn6, etc etc.
