Sorry no pic here, but I have Fender 9050Ls (45-100) on my '87 Jazz Bass Special. Working out well, and they have the most beautiful green silks.

Medium Chromes (50-100) on my American Jazz. Tighter, sound great.

Flats feel right! And I can still get some highs from them.

Easily one of the smoothest flats on the market. A very under-rated string IMO.

I had to tweak my truss rod a bit for the 50-110 gauge
but the sound is very smooth and even and they are not as
stiff as I was expecting :)

I don't know if it's just bad technique on my part but, when I play a
bass with low Gray Willis type action, I can't seem to get it to work for me :hmm:

I seem to need action that fights back a little :D

I own 5-basses

4 of them are loaded with flats - Dogal Jaco Carbon Flats... excellent strings. They sound amazing, last a really long time and are very comfortable.
I have them on my:
Spector NS-2
Spector NS-2A Fretless
Spector NS-4
SSD B.O.B. (Bolt On Bass)(1996)

I have an Alex Webster Signature Spector. I have round-wound strings on it. Only seems fitting. :D

What I like about the Dogal strings are they are bright and responsive, almost like round-wounds, but there's no string noise so I can really dig in and play (with a pick) and I don't get some of the string noise issues I do with rounds.

Also, they are a little easier to palm mute. The Spector neck-thru models have ridiculous sustain. It's great when you want it, not so much when you don't. Sting used to place a roll of black electrical tape between the J pup and the bridge of his NS-2 to help deaden the strings some.

I find that the flats I use give me great tone, more control and less finger noise. So I'm hooked.

In the back you see my Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazz with ECB81 Chrome Regular Light Guage. In the front you see my FrankenSquier™ CVVM Jazz with ENR72 Half Rounds Medium Guage. (Well, they're sorta flat. :p )

iJazz - Finding just the right string set is like finding just the right putter.

I'd show you a pic but they just look like Chromes.

Currently have 'em on my Jbass, my Pbass, and my fretless fiver.

Rounds are currently on my CheePazz Pbass and my fretted fiver, but may be going with flats on those as soon as possible.
Anyone wanna trade for some NIB DR strings? :D
