You just pull the string through the clamp and tighten the top screw down on them. I have not received it as of yet...but soon!

Martin told me that the ABM string anchors feel solid and that he will use them again.

I love how Martin mounted the string anchors on an angled Ebony riser behind the nut and zero fret so the the strings feed straight into the anchors without making a compound bend in them:

Ok, just a simple Allen screw to clamp the strings, got it! My David King headless had a machined brass headpiece, but similar clamping screws. I’ve seen a few other designs where the strings go through the back of the neck, or that had thumbscrews to do the clamping, etc. Of course, the rest of my headless basses have been Steinbergers, which are a rather different beast…

In *other* news, my headless is almost ready. No pictures to share, but I'm excited.
