Talking with Martin a bit more about my acoustic 5, and it looks like he’ll be able to do curly mahogany bindings on the fretboard and headstock to match the body bindings. Super excited!

As you know from my old Nordstrand SC5, that’s a look that I really like, and I’m sure it would be incredible on one of Martin’s instruments!
Is that the oil finish that Martin is using? He suggested it to me...said that he really likes it

Imagine when it's all put together! Just think of how nice your instrument is going to look when it is finished.
Yes, Tried & True Danish Oil...it's great stuff and about as non-toxic as you can get. I know that Martin was also experimenting on the side with some other versions of Tried & True finishes. They make a varnish that uses pine resin combined with the Danish oil that looks rather interesting.

Wow, it looks incredible! Selfishly, it makes me all the more excited for mine.
Curious about those tuners, do they turn easily/smoothly? There isn't a ton of leverage available, seems like.
