Have you e-mailed Rob to see if he can get one for you? Rob would tell you if he can get you one or not.
Just got a Deep 4. The action is too high for my liking. Are the two allens in the saddle for adjustment, or are they specifically bolt downs for the saddle? Is the saddle height adjustable? Currently, the bottom of the E is .150 from the board @ the 21st fret, way too high.
Yes, I emailed. Rand replied that they do sometimes have cases for sale - just not now. He did not know when they would be in stock. I will check back with them again….
Actually just a hair more. Rob Allen got back to me. My lack of knowledge about how this instrument was constructed and exactly what to do in terms of setup and how to approach playing it are converging. It remains a work in progress; slow and steady wins the race. My right hand needs to slow down. Gotta kinda glide into things.

There's nothing wrong with the instrument by any stretch of imagination. The action is higher than what i have been accustomed to. There are benefits to a higher action. The design of the instrument dictates the overall sound. I'm on this for some time, my other basses can sit for the time being.
Yeah and now I wanna try black tapes on every bass. Not really but wow they're cool.

I spent the weekend in the studio recording a new album. It pains me to say it but the Gillett Slimline Contour did a better job where I would usually use the Deep 4. I'm going to redo some bass parts next month after I've had time to listen to everything we got done. If the D4 isn't working then, I may actually consider selling it. I'm not making any rash judgements at the moment.
Yes - In studio when also a cab mic'ed but for some reason it didn't work. The speaker helps alot to get the upright sound going imho. What do you think?
I think you are getting some of the best recorded Rob Allen bass sounds I have ever heard. You're helping us all by sharing your recording process. As soon as I get some home repairs paid off, I am buying a Noble preamp because of your recordings.
I can't really remember but I typical set it bass at 9 o'clock and treble 9 o'clock and I guess I did that in the studio. Why? It seems like a sweet spot for my Fodera's, my Deep 5 and my 65' jazz
