believe it or not, not much difference at all.
i did, however change the preamp tubes in the VR to voice it more to what i'm accustomed to in an SVT head.

These ARE all HOT RODS IMO. & mine especially... They're mine & they get HOT!!

All old vintage tubes. for the three 12AX7's, a Telefunken (long smooth plate) , an RCA and an Amperex Bugle Boy, with two RCA's for the 12AU7's.
it just seems to sound the best with this particular set in there, although it did sound great with all vintage RCA's too.

could be 69, 70 or maybe even 71. only way to tell for sure is to pull the preamp and check the date code on the pots.
