i removed the cover over the neckpup, but i put it on once in a while when i want that old thumping sound you get when playing with a pick above the neckpup.. but when slapping and playing with my fingers it's off.. -3 preamptubes, more distortion.
-Have indicators if a tube fails.
the mk3's have been known to break down on US buyers due to bad tubes and shippingissues.

mk1&2 sounds similar to what Matamp is doing with the GTO 6550s...except I think their's can run wt KT88s as well. I like the idea of indicators for bad tubes on the mk3, the V8's have that- pretty sweet feature.
