Mines half sorted now! the 4x10 is on loan, but will probably get a Warwick 4x10 of my own to go with this soon.

What brand and model are the speakers in the left cabinet? The ones on the right look original.

On Monday, I saw a red-knob Showman head at my local GC for $250 and on Tuesday, an empty Bassman 4x12 for $79 (IIRC) at the Davenport, IA Music Go Round store.

I'm not sure what brand and model the speakers in the left cabinet are, they have no labels on the back. They do sound really great though. The ones in the right cab are original. That is a great price for a Dual Showman red-knob, they make great bass amps. Lots of power and tube goodness.

But, where are the basses, you ask? One's getting fitted for a pickgaurd, one's boxed up to go out the door, and one, well, one's been relegated to the closet until later this month...after having been relegated to the closed for about three years.

I use it all, by the way. I use the two guitar cabinets for varying levels of distortion (via an A/B/Y box), while using the bass cabinet for a continuous clean. Is is specialized? Yes. Does it kick ass? Yes. The Ampeg gets fitted with V30s after Christmas.

Around what year are those 4X12 Bassman cabs? I have never seen a cab like that before with the cover off. Cool speaker arrangement in that cab. How does the new speakers sound compare to the original speakers?

My '72 or '73 Fender catalog shows the 4x12 with the Bassman 100 amp. I think all of the big bass cabinets in my 1970 Fender catalog are 2x15s. Not 100% sure though as I haven't looked at them in a while.

When I was there a week ago, the Music Go Round store in Davenport, IA has an empty one, if you're interested.

No that suckers too big for me to lug around I'm trying to go smaller not bigger;) But very interesting design.

Just the rack. It goes into the same 210 & 212 that I had in previous photos, but I'm checking out a 2ohm LDS 410 this weekend & I'm hoping It'll be magic.

THAT is my rack I hope to have in a little while. I already got the NA650 (which rocks :bassist: ) I just need the tuner and the power conditioner.

Nice set-up!

Thanks. You're right. It does rock. It's been through six gigs since early October and it's turning into a real champ. Plenty of compliments from bandmates, fellow bass players & soundmen alike. I can't recommend the Fender tuner enough, either. It tracks effortlessly w/my 5 stringers down to Ab. Very pleased with the rack overall.
