Not impressive compared to some here, but I love it:

very nice rig! I'm gassin' for EBS badly these days :)
could you describe the sound you get from it? I'm interested in buying one of the neoline cabinets myself (the 210 model)

Awww, shucks guys. Thanks for the compliments. Wanna know something even more impressive??? I'm 17 almost 18, and I paid all my gear myself (basses, amps, effects, etc). :D

Alright, the 350HD is a very powerful head. The Drive will not get you a distortion that I know of, I've never tried cause I don't really like distortion on bass. It does give it a nice punch and boost when added just a bit. The character button is great, it scoops the mids and adds lows and highs. I don't know if I've ever not used it. Then there is also a button to allow you to bypass the knob configs, not the whole preamp. It just sets all the EQ knobs flat. Also, when I practice at home, that's the setting I have on the head with character button pushed in (on). The bright know kind of reminds me of a presence knob, it's hard to describe. I usually don't have the compressor that high though. When playing at higher volumes, I have to cut the bass knob though because the cab puts out a lot of low end at higher volumes.

Alright, the cab is very light compared to other 4x10s and slightly larger (deeper usually). The handles are positioned beautifully. I'm a small guy and only have a problem moving it myself due to the size, not the weight. For the record, I'm about 5'8" give or take and weigh about 115lbs, just so you know how small I really am. The cab has a great lows at higher volumes (think 15" speakers), but has the aggressive punch and quick reaction of 10" speakers, which they are. The mids are nicely defined, but not too much. The highs sing, but if you turn up your highs too much on the EQ it can be painful when played slap style, that's how good it handles the high end. If you have any other questions about the EBS amp feel free to post here and ask or PM me.

If I upgrade my amplification, the upgrade will consist of another one of those 4x10s.

As soon as I have the cash I'll upgrade the head to something even more BOOM :smug:
prolly a GK or another Markbass.. well Genz Benz might not be a bad choice eather I think...
Well this is my current setup:
(Sorry for the bad pic, just don't have the cash for a good digital camera cause all I buy is bass stuff :P)

How are you liking the MB cab. I liked the way it sounded (when I played it at GC), but I didn't like the height.

well even with the little mark it doesn't leave any other guitarplayer alive :p
But yes i think it sounds great too, otherwise I'd have had another cab hehe
It is kinda high but it's not too heavy, it fits in the car so all fine to me.. if I'm right it's 1.15 metres high.. looks killer though :D

But I'm really satisfied.. you can get an enormous punch out of it (which I like alot indeed), and though it only has 10" speakers you can get a real loooooow sound out of it if you like, dunno about the b-string... it really booms :bassist:

I might combine it with a GK 1001RB-II later, or with an aguilar db750 as soon as I win the lottery

The Fanned-Fret® Concept
The NOVAX® Fanned-Fret® concept evolved from a desire to produce an instrument with balanced tone and string tension. As a guitar player and professional repair technician with extensive experience, I had grown dissatisfied with the performance of instruments as they existed. Lack of definition in the lower frequencies, harsh, percussive trebles, and general "muddiness" of tone seemed pervasive, even when the performance of these instruments was optimized. Experimenting with composite materials and state-of-the-art electronics only made matters worse by highlighting these problems. My repair experience led me to examine scale length as a possible solution.

Heath: Good to see you back in action! Are you planning on keeping this rig for while, and do you still have all your old gear?
man, this rig will be used for years to come...the only thing id change, just because i was bored would be to a fender 800 pro or another 215...i still have one of my peavey heads, the peavey 410tx, the carlsbro db158 now the peavey/eminence 215 and the fender 400 pro
