I finally got the last piece in the puzzle for an amp system that is flexible, light, and sounds great.
This is now: 1xiAMP 800 with 2x CXL112 L. The system puts out 800 W and weights 44+44+19+15 (rack!!!!) lb= 122 lb.. I have to do something about the heavy rack, I'm looking into gator rack.
I have my old stack (see second picture) in our practice room. (The SWR grand prix I sold). The amp is a German "Craaft Bassic 400" amplifier (2x200W power amp bridges, Trace-like EQ, 3 presets. Needs 240 V to run-> transformer 120V -> 240 V necessary.). The PMK has an EV 15L pro line speaker and is absolutely great. The Trace is a 2103X with 2x6" B&C midrange speaker. This system stays in the practice room of my hard rock band. The rest I take wherever I go.
For small rehearals I sometimes take the GK200MB by itself, but the EA system sounds much better.

Hey, hows the Warwick/Aguilar setup sound? I'm thinking of getting a GS412 and using my pro fet III as a preamp.
What sort of sound you get from it?

PS: I just sold the Whappo...

Tecx,

Yes indeed it is the "Plume of Doom"!!! JP makes KILLER stuff! If I didn't have my order in for my Nordstrand I'd definetly go for another JP.

I'd LOVE to have my Dingwall Prima back(anyone here listening, $$$ waiting) as I miss it dearly...

PS: Tecx, I'm not with Evoken any more. I have a new band called Rigor Sardonicous that is very extreme doom. I've also been tinkering with another band called Methadrone, playing lead bass for them.
