Not too sure about comparisons but its everything I've ever looked for in an amp. Lush growly rock tones with PLENTY of bottom end (something my Ashdown Mag-200 didn't quite live up to) 200 Watt tube provides so much headroom i'm terrified.
Biggest problem with the amp so far is that I feel somehow unworthy. Hehe! Would reccommend to anyone.

Don't let that heater melt your bass man... it might be bad for the truss and wood (if you take it outside and stick it in a cold car etc..)

Since Channel 1 of the PLX is dimed and Channel 2 is (essentially) all the way down, I presume that you're bridging the power amp into the Acmes...true?
