Thread resurrection: I find that when the volume is around noon it's too much of a volume boost

Volume: 10:30ish or 12:00 (depends on if I want it to boost my bass or not)
Sustain: 9:00
Tone: 12:30ish, think I may roll it back to somewhere between 12:00 and 11:00 to see if it sounds a little thicker.

I finally found a usable tone that works for me! I was ready to sell it... still might, lol.
EVERYTING at 9 o'clock and toggle switch on "Dry". Yay! Just a dash of fuzz along with my bass' fantastic, original tone. Not sure what song (on our setlist) I can use it on... maybe Juke Box Hero? Shot In the Dark, Hmmm...

posting here in cae it’s useful: I came across a graph showing the big muff mid scoop:
Based on this I decided something extreme: dime the tone and the boost the signal until the lows are as high as bypasses. What a change! I still get the full bass volume and the glory muffines of the highs… it completely changed the game for my ehx green russian reissue!!
for context: my issue was cutting through the mix, with these setting aim cutting through and if I want less highs I reduce sustain…

Different basses with different strings and pickups into different muffs…lots of different settings.
Personally, I use an overdrive / muff / gated patch that I wrote (and shared) for my Source Audio Ultrawave.

I got one a short time ago and it's surprisingly full of features.I thought there'd be more owners on this thread seeing it even has a d.i. and it seems like the most versatile of the Muffs.I'm still learning what it can do.
