Thanks man, it is a terrific cab. Bill Fitzmaurice was kind
enough to throw some good advice my way and I was smart
enough to shut up and listen to him when it came to design
choices. Petebass from Australia was also very helpful to me.

The amp is an Eden WT-400, and it really rocks with this cab.
I think I finished the coversion for less than $200 iirc.
(Bass pictured is a 1981 Ibanez Roadster PJ with DiMarzio pups
and passive/active circuits. Kick@$$ bass.)

I'll throw you a few 'in progress' pics. All custom cab threads need pics.

btw i used to have a side buisiness that built cabinets, but i am no longer connected financially to it since i have gone back to school. however the logos are still either masked or removed. if i violated a user policy let me know, mods.

I had this 212 cabinet(the one on top of the 410R Schroeder Cab) custom built just recently by EarCandyCabs. This cab is named the BassBomb by EarCandy. Its a front ported cab (4 ports), with one 12" Eminence Kappa Pro-12A(400 Watts RMS), and one 12" Eminence Delta Pro-12A(500 Watts RMS)...speaker cabinet handling cababilty = 950 Watts RMS. This cabinet does not have a tweeter and is built and tuned so it doesn't need one. It has a natural full deep pure undistorted bass tone with just a little bite :smug: to it-which can be enhanced by turning up the gain. Its a very efficient cab and I really love the tone(see review posted elsewhere on TB in past 1-2 months). The cab can be ordered virtually anyway you want it, but mine is made with black tolex every where except for the front speaker face which is covered in the "Diablo Red" tolex, and I ordered the black stainless steel circular speaker grills for a different look as well. It's DA Bomb :D ...Peace...DAcat

I may be selling off my 2x12" and 2x10" Avatars for... newer Avatars (I have cats, and Line-X would be a godsend) in either the same dimensions, 2x12"/4x10", or all three to mix 'n match, and recently found an online company that does custom grills for a very reasonable amount including powder-coating, so I'm seriously thinking of...

Line-X Black with Red Chrome Grills. :bassist:

Hi MM
"Then you have come to the right thread, my friend. Let's just all agree on one thing...never put style over substance. "

M. M.
I cant agree more :D...but nothing wrong with combining style and substance. There are some way cool artforms in cabs being created out there that probably sound just as great as they look...these cabs should not be put down because of the creative artistic nature of thier owners...Peace...Dacat
