FCS - adventurous relic-ing. I could do w/o the white.
and white doesn't bug me too bad...but if it were LBP or CAR rather than white I would be on total wiggly pants time out! Pretty close as is though..
Wow! The only thing missing is CAR and AO (antique olive), and you would have all the colors of the American standard line.

It's all part of Dano Technology, which was all about minimalism/efficiency/low production costs. Only the lower bolt holds the bridge plate to the body, and the plate only rests on the top two. All three screws are adjustable up and down and the wood bridge/saddle moves up and down and swivels to angle. I replaced the wood screws with hex-wrench head stainless steel bolts into steel mollies inset into the body. I did the same with the three neck screws. Doesn't amount to much but it works. I've seen the spools on the string-ends hooked into the slots sideways - holds them either way. I actually think it helps the basses sound/tone and in that way debunks all the "high mass" bridge hype out there. Even if not, the bass sounds damn good that's for sure.
That's really nice. Have the same, and it's...black. I did tort it up and that helped, but yours is really cool.
Yeah I did the same by added the tortoise guard. Then I did a light relic job. Still wasn’t satisfied so I sent the body out. I wanted Olympic white aged with that smokey yellowing but also loved candy red. So I got both!
Mine hasn't gotten smacked up much yet, but it does have its first check mark or two, finish damage from the covers, and a chunk flaked off at one neck plate corner lol. It's a start.
Why they ever discontinued the AVRI series I will never know

Thanks! There is a segment of the retro-world that produces vintage hs badge reproductions. It was pretty cheap too - some are more. The original (missing) was the same script but smaller. It looks a bit horsey on the hs but works. I took on the project to turn it around to sell, but I think I'll be holding onto it because it sounds so good.
Oh the magical mystical wonder of nitrocellulose and a hardshell case.
