Odd that all the philips-head screws were replaced w/flat slot-head screws.., wherever there was a screw-hole to fill! The stories these basses could tell...

They do, don't they? Amazing, especially considering the cost.

It plays wonderfully. Medium-light, well balanced. The nut is 40mm which is my ideal width. It doesn't feel at all 'faked' - it feels just like picking up my original '71 Ps.

And it sounds glorious...

Is that an Ibanez Musician bass? A late friend of mine played a left handed one, he was a great player and introduced me to Jaco amongst other things. Haven't seen one in a while, nice.

Yes, it's an '81 MC924, kind of beat on, even before I bought it. Somebody must have worn either a jacket with buttons, or a wristband with studs at one time, because there's a solid line of dents going straight across. Where the picking hand would be back towards the back pickup and bridge. I've had it for years too. Still plays pretty well.
